Crapology
The Study of Quality and the Crap the Gets in Its Way

"Crapology" is a book and video series by Glenn Campbell now under construction. From the introduction:

What is “Quality”? It’s actually quite simple. Quality is getting the job done. Every product you purchase or activity you engage in has a primary purpose, and Quality is a measure of how well that goal is fulfilled. The opposite is a product that only pretends to do the job. It replicates all the outward signals of Quality—enough to convince you to buy it—but it fails perform the underlying function. I call this product “Crap”, and you should, too.

The project is still in its early stages, with only a few components available. Here is a preview of a video introduction:

Here is a 2015 sample of an early draft of the book (30+ pages), which will extensively rewritten.

See the Crapology Facebook Page for the latest developments in this project.

Writing began in Paris on Feb. 3, 2015. This website was registered on Feb. 6, 2015 for future use as the book develops. The project was left alone for 2.5 years until revived in Sept. 2017 with the new preview video recorded in Raton, New Mexico.
